SEASON 1 REVIEW: First of all, kudos to Shailender Vyas who has created JL50, and introduces the time travel fiction genre to the Indian audience. The plot of the show is intriguing and quite fascinating. With an interesting storyline, the show also has some noteworthy performances.
This edge-of-your-seat thriller will keep you hooked in the initial two episodes. The third and fourth episode captures your attention but you will find that depth is missing. The crisp editing, better VFX, and engaging screenplay could have been made this show more impressive. The cinematography is just fine, music is average and the background score is too mediocre.
Abhay Deol delivers a decent performance and his natural act done justice to the character. Rajesh Sharma is underutilized and Piyush Mishra manages to shine in his limited role. Pankaj Kapur is a delight to watch, he gave an impressive performance. Ritika Anand who is also the producer of the series, delivers a fine performance as Pilot Bihu Ghosh.
If u can ignore the amateurish VFX and still want to enjoy a decent thriller show then watch JL50 only on SonyLIV, streaming now.
