Jersey starring Shahid Kapoor, Mrunal Thakur, and Pankaj Kapur performing low at the box office. The movie began its theatrical run with ₹ 3.75 Crore. The sports drama film has collected ₹ 15 Crore in India within three days of its release.
The official announcement for the film was made in October 2019. Principal photography commenced in Chandigarh in December 2019 and ended in December 2020, amidst the delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. It was originally scheduled for a cinema release on 28th August 2020 but was postponed multiple times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film was finally released on 22nd April 2022.
The movie is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and produced by Geetha Arts, Dil Raju Production, Sithara Entertainments & Brat Films. Hit Ya Flop gave it 3 out of 5 stars and rated it as ‘Good’. Jersey got released across 2450 screens in India. It is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 35 Crore including the Production and Prints & Advertising Cost.
