MOVIE REVIEW: A Riveting, Unconventional Thriller! In an industry flooded with formulaic thrillers, Crazxy emerges as a gripping, taut, and emotionally resonant film that respects both your time and intelligence. With a runtime of just 93 minutes, this edge-of-the-seat thriller feels almost like a real-time experience. The film is highly unconventional, which means it might not appeal to viewers expecting a traditional thriller format.
The tight screenplay and razor-sharp editing ensure that there is never a dull moment. The real masterstroke of the film is its execution, apart from Sohum Shah, no other actor appears on screen. Instead, we experience their presence only through disembodied voices, a risky yet brilliant storytelling choice. The melodramatic ending might not sit well with all viewers some may feel that a more understated, ambiguous climax would have been more impactful.
After his spectacular performance in Tumbbad (2018), Sohum Shah proves yet again why he’s one of the most versatile and unconventional actors in the industry. Carrying an entire movie on his shoulders, he delivers powerhouse performance, effortlessly portraying a man on the brink of psychological and physical collapse. His ability to switch between emotions—fear, determination, helplessness, and fatherly love is phenomenal. Among the many gripping moments in Crazxy, one particular scene deserves a special mention—the flat tire sequence. In this scene, Abhimanyu is forced to multitask under extreme pressure.
