Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom got a low start at the Indian box office considering the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The movie began its theatrical run with ₹ 2.75 Crore with cinemas running at 50% occupancy. The espionage action thriller film has reportedly collected ₹ 12.75 Crore in India within four days of its release. Bell Bottom is also dealing with theatres in Maharashtra, a major territory, still being closed as per Covid-19 protocols.
The movie directed by Ranjit M Tewari, also stars Adil Hussain, Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Lara Dutta, Denzil Smith, Dolly Ahluwalia, and Zain Khan Durrani in supporting roles. The film is written by Aseem Arrora and Parveez Sheikh, with production by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, and Nikkhil Advani under their respective banners Pooja Entertainment and Emmay Entertainment.
Hit Ya Flop gave it 3 out of 5 stars and rated it as ‘Good’. The film was released in theatres on 19th August 2021, also in 3D. It got released across 1850 screens in India and is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 50 Crore including the Production and Prints & Advertising Cost.
