Baadshaho Movie Review

PLOT : Baadshaho takes us to the emergency era of 1975, when there was political unrest in the full country. When Rani Gitanjali’s palace in Jaipur is raided for gold, she is arrested for withholding it without declaration. The government seizes the gold and decides to transfer it via road to Delhi in a truck with officer Singh, a cocky cop in charge of the whole operation. The story takes us through a thrilling journey between Jaipur and Delhi, along with various obstacles, secrets and revelations. It explores the relationships between these characters amongst fun, banter, deceit, betrayal and loads of drama The highlight of the film apart from the ensemble cast that are playing characters very unlike their style is its superbly drafted screenplay, and its action sequences.

MOVIE REVIEW : After giving film like The Dirty Picture and Once Upon A Time In Mumbai, Milan Luthria completely loses the plot and fails to entertain the audience by Baadshaho. The movie does not match up to the levels of the these films.
Even though the film has a decent star cast, the makers forgets that they need a story to fit them all.
With this script Milan could have make a much much better film but he misses the opportunity. Screenplay is spoiled by many useless and over dramatic scenes and then some predictable twists are not finished well.
Editing is very weak it could have been much better.

The action sequences are good in first half. The robbery scenes are shown well and the whole planning that leads to the heist has kept the audience engaged. The whole story about the gold heist is done in the first half itself but what after that?
The second half is extremely slow and takes too much time till the climax. Action scenes in second half are completely unrealistic and dragged and it will soon kill your high expectations from the climax. Seeing actors fighting and rolling in sand, you will find this as a total waste of time.

Ajay Devgn is good as Bhawani but the viewers has expected more from him and there is nothing memorable from him in this film.
Emraan Hashmi is charming, funny and his comic timing is also good but his love interest Esha Gupta has nothing much to do here.
Sanjay Mishra is always a delight to watch, he can make you laugh by his expression and dialogues.
Ileana D’Cruz looks beautiful as a Princess but average in her role.
Vidyut Jammwal looks promising in the first half but spoiled his character impact in the second half.
At last we can say only the trailer was promising but the film has nothing new to offer.
