Nayyi Navelli Box Office Collection: Yami Gautam’s Horror-Comedy Records an Ordinary Opening Weekend

Yami Gautam Dhar starrer Nayyi Navelli has recorded an ordinary opening weekend at the Indian box office, with the film witnessing minimal growth on both Saturday and Sunday. Despite releasing across a considerable number of screens, the horror-comedy has failed to attract the stronger audience response that was expected.

The film collected ₹3.36 crore on Friday, followed by ₹4 crore on Saturday and ₹4.54 crore on Sunday. With this, Nayyi Navelli has accumulated ₹11.90 crore net in India in its first three days, while its worldwide gross collection stands at ₹15.88 crore.

The film has now entered the crucial weekday phase, where its box office performance will be closely watched. The Dussehra holiday on Tuesday, October 20, could provide a much-needed boost to collections and help the film maintain momentum at the ticket windows. However, the extent of the holiday benefit will depend on audience turnout and the film’s ability to sustain its theatrical run.

Directed by Balaji Mohan, Nayyi Navelli marks the filmmaker’s Bollywood directorial debut. Written by Himanshu Sharma and Divy Nidhi Sharma, the horror-comedy was released in theatres on October 16, 2026. The film also features Addinath M. Kothare, Mita Vashisht, Sunita Rajwar, Sonal Jha and Sushmita Mukherjee in supporting roles.

Hit ya Flop rated film 2 out of 5 stars, calling it “Below Average” and wrote “It is a missed opportunity that offers occasional entertainment but ultimately disappoints due to weak writing, uninspiring direction and poor execution. It has few entertaining moments, but the overall experience remains below average.”
