Emraan Hashmi starrer Awarapan 2 has delivered a strong opening weekend at the box office, emerging as the third-highest opening weekend grosser among Bollywood films in 2026, behind Dhurandhar 2 and Border 2.
The action drama has also created a new milestone for Emraan Hashmi, becoming his highest-grossing film in the lead role, surpassing the lifetime business of his previous releases. With ₹84.31 crore net in India, Awarapan 2 has made a significant statement at the box office and has given Emraan Hashmi his biggest opening weekend as a leading man.
The film opened strongly on Friday with ₹23.40 crore, followed by an impressive jump on Saturday, when it collected ₹34.09 crore. Sunday remained strong with ₹26.82 crore, taking its opening weekend total to an impressive ₹84.31 crore net in India. The film has also performed well in international markets, collecting ₹19.31 crore gross overseas during its opening weekend.
The real test now is whether Awarapan 2 can maintain its momentum during the weekdays and convert its excellent opening weekend into a strong theatrical run.
