A SENSATIONAL FIRST WEEKEND for Jaat at the box office! Sunny Deol and Randeep Hooda starrer mass entertainer Jaat has struck a chord with its target audience, the masses, and got a decent opening weekend in India.
Jaat opened with a solid ₹9.62 crore on Thursday, fueled by the star power of Sunny Deol and the pre-release buzz surrounding its whistle-worthy action sequences and dialogues. The dip on Friday to ₹7 crore was expected due to the working day, but the film picked up strong momentum over the weekend, collected ₹14.05 crore on Sunday.
With a production budget of ₹100 crore, Jaat still has a significant journey ahead to break even. However, a ₹40.62 crore net collection in just four days is a promising start. If the film manages to sustain its momentum into the weekdays and performs well in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, it stands a chance of becoming a profitable venture.
