Baby John has taken off with a strong start at the box office but later witnessed a drop in collections. Starring Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff, and Rajpal Yadav, the film opened to ₹ 11.25 Crore on its first day and has collected ₹ 28.65 Crore in India and ₹ 36.70 Crore gross globally within its five days of its release.
Directed by Kalees, Baby John is a remake of Atlee’s 2016 Tamil blockbuster Theri. The movie is produced by Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios, Vipin Agnihotri Films, and A for Apple Productions. Released theatrically on December 25, 2024, coinciding with Christmas, the film was released across 3000 screens in India. The film is made on a production budget of ₹160 Crore.
Hit ya Flop rated the movie 3 out of 5 stars, labeling it “Good” and wrote, “Baby John is a mass entertainer with grand visuals, adrenaline-pumping moments, and powerful performances. However, it falters in some areas due to its outmoded storyline but action sequences elevate the film.”
