Sooraj Barjatya’s directorial Uunchai hit the theatres last week. The movie starring Amitabh Bachchan, Anupam Kher, and Boman Irani has been minting good numbers at the box office from limited shows. The movie began its theatrical run with ₹ 1.81 Crore. The adventure drama film collected ₹ 17.02 Crore in India and ₹ 25 Crore gross worldwide within seven days of its release.
Uunchai is directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions, Boundless Media, and Mahaveer Jain Films. The movie also stars Sarika, Neena Gupta, and Parineeti Chopra, and Danny Denzongpa. Hit Ya Flop gave it 3.5 out of 5 stars & rated it as ‘Very Good’.
The movie was released across 486 screens in India and is estimated to be made on a budget of ₹ 20 Crore including the Production and Prints & Advertising Cost. The film did very well over the weekend but drops over the weekdays. Drishyam 2 is the newest competition and that film is set to open to very good numbers and it will surely impact the number of Uunchai.
