The drama film collected ₹ 136.74 Crore in India within ten days of its release. The film is all set to cross the ₹ 200 Crore mark at the domestic box office.

After collecting ₹ 55.60 Crore on its second weekend the film has emerged as the second-highest second-weekend grosser film followed by Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan which had collected ₹ 65.75 Crore. The film has also gone past the lifetime collections of two top female-centric films, Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi and Raazi, in just 10 days.
The Kerala Story is directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, who is also the creative director of the film. Hit Ya Flop gave it 4 out of 5 stars & rated it as ‘Must Watch’ and wrote “A hard-hitting, shocking, and disturbing film. Adah Sharma and all other actors delivers a praiseworthy performance”.
