Betaal is a fictional horror web series based in a remote village, a counter-insurgency squad tasked with clearing a tribal-populated area for a construction project activates an ancient curse that unleashes a zombie army of East India Company soldiers.
The series is written & directed by Patrick Graham and co-directed by Nikhil Mahajan. It is produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. Starring Viineet Kumar, Aahana Kumra, Suchitra Pillai, Jitendra Joshi, Jatin Goswami, Siddharth Menon, Manjiri Pupala, Ankur Vikal, Richard Dillane and Syna Anand.
The web series is released on Netflix on 24th May’20 (No. of episodes 4), making it the second collaboration between the production house and Netflix after Bard of Blood.

India’s first zombie series is no great shakes. There is nothing much to offer except a few gripping scenes & the plot is engaging in bits and pieces.
