WEB SERIES REVIEW: The Last Hour definitely deserves a ‘One Time Watch’ as it has a gripping and never ever seen before plot in an Indian web series. Surely it is not one of the best series available on Amazon Prime Video but there is something refreshing in the story that needs cheering.

The series starts off well and immediately pickups up the pace. The initial four episodes keep you hooked with its unique and interesting premise. The screenplay lost its grip from the fifth episode and due to the sluggish writing, the series becomes hard to follow until the last episode unfolds the climax. The series becomes the victim of mediocre execution and also there was a large room for crisp editing.

The show is set in a fictitious city in the North-East part of India. The cinematography is captivating, Jayesh Nair beautifully shot the stunning views of Sikkim. The other interesting part about this web series is that the makers have given chance and casted the actual North East actors into the mainstream Hindi series rather than showing Bollywood actors pretending to be from the North East.

Sanjay Kapoor and Karma Takapa delivered a decent performance. Shahana Goswami and Shaylee Krishen were average. Raima Sen doesn’t have much to offer. Robin Tamang and Lanuakum Ao managed to make their presence felt. Other supporting actors have given fine performances.

If Amazon brings its season 2, then viewers will expect a better execution, more engrossing screenplay, and sharp dialogues.

The Last Hour Season 1 Rating:
Direction 2.5/5
Acting 3/5
Cinematography 3/5
Story 3/5
Screenplay 2/5
Overall Hit ya Flop Rating: 2.7 out of 5 Stars (AVG)
