WEB SERIES REVIEW: Farzi is entertaining, intriguing, and it is packed with everything that makes it a Binge-Worthy show. The makers of The Family Man, Raj & DK have again delivered a unique and engrossing show to the Indian audience. They can keep the viewers hooked till the last episode with their writing. With this series, Raj & DK have shown a crossover between The Family Man and Farzi. They have raised curiosity for the upcoming season of their Spy Universe.
Shahid is outstanding as The Artist and shines in the action and emotional scenes. Vijay Sethupathi is a real gem of Indian cinema, he has delivered a brilliant performance in his Hindi debut and in his first foray into the streaming space. Thanks to the makers, to go with Sethupathi himself spoke Hindi dialogues in the series instead of dubbing his voice. The finest and funniest moments of the show are when Zakir Hussain and Vijay Sethupathi’s interactions are going on screen. Another best parts of the show are when Shahid, Bhuvan, and Amol Palekar share their care & family bonding on the screens.
Kay Kay Menon has the ability to overshadow any other characters. Whenever Vijay Sethupathi or Kay Kay Menon are delivering the dialogues you can not take your eyes off them. Rashii Khanna and Bhuvan Arora were excellent in their roles. Regina Cassandra and Kubbra Sait were fine. Amol Palekar and Zakir Hussain were a delight to watch. There are many characters introduced through the 8-episode series and all other supporting actors have given good screen time and have done justice to their roles.
The fantastic background score, engaging screenplay, captivating cinematography, and impactful dialogues are the biggest strength of the show. The only drawback is the editing and runtime of the show. Some scenes seemed to be unwanted and needlessly dragged the screenplay. It could have been trimmed well and made into the 6-episode show for a better impact.
