MOVIE REVIEW: Doctor G is a missed opportunity. The movie has some good performances, and decent direction but the writing is too mediocre. Sumit Saxena, Saurabh Bharat, Vishal Wagh, and Anubhuti Kashyap have written the screenplay and due to many writers, the narrative got spoiled. The screenplay is so weak and unappealing that it can not hold the viewers for long.
The first half of the film offers you some funny scenes but most of them fall flat. The second half has some emotional and heartwarming scenes. Despite its average storyline, the film is a one-time watch due to the performances by the lead actors. The dialogues are not much effective. The songs are unmemorable and none of them really made any impact on the story.
Hats off to Ayushmann Khurrana for choosing such unique scripts always and every time he delivers an impressive performance. Rakul Preet Singh managed to give a satisfactory performance in her limited role. But the romantic track between the two was quite weak. Once again Shefali Shah and Sheeba Chaddha steal the show, you give them any role and they both will do complete justice to the character. Ayesha Kaduskar was a surprise package. Priyam Saha, Shraddha Jain, Indraneil Sengupta, and other supporting actors were just fine in their roles.
