QUICK MOVIE REVIEW: The movie Gehraiyaan has no depth in the writing. Shakun Batra’s failed to deliver a compelling movie like Kapoor & Sons (2016), here his direction is just mediocre. The first half is a half-baked romantic drama. In the second half of the film, it takes a different turn which holds the viewers but the climax falls flat. Deepika Padukone and Naseeruddin Shah delivers a good performance. Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday & Dhairya Karwa were average in their roles.

  1. AVERAGE/FLOP. Unfortunately, I did not feel any spark between Deepika, Ananya and Siddhant in those scenes, although Deepika was great and quite comfortable throughout. Only the scenes of intimacy clearly devoid of chemistry sold something out of the film, out of sheer curiosity. It could have been a passionate, professional kiss, and the film had color, but Deepika and Ananya consumed a lot of scenes in vain. The story is a parody.
